Request E-Signatures from Others
Need someone else to sign a document? Instead of emailing a PDF and asking them to print, sign, scan, and return it, send them a professional signature request. You place the signature fields, specify who signs where, and they sign online without any account or software installation.
How to Request E-Signatures from Others
- 1Upload the document that needs signatures
Drop your PDF into the e-sign tool. Review the document to identify all signature locations, initial fields, date fields, and any other places where the signer needs to interact.
- 2Place signature fields on the document
Drag signature fields, date fields, and initial fields onto the document at each required location. Multiple fields can be placed for different signers. Each field can be assigned to a specific recipient.
- 3Specify the recipients
Enter the name and email address of each person who needs to sign. Assign each signature field to the correct recipient. Set the signing order — sequential (Person A signs, then Person B) or parallel (all sign at once).
- 4Send the signing request
Send the request. Recipients receive an email with a link to review and sign the document. They can sign from any device without creating an account. The document is rendered in their browser with the fields you placed ready for completion.
- 5Track the signing status
The dashboard shows who has signed and who still needs to act. Reminders can be sent to pending signers. When all signatures are collected, the completed document is available for download.

E-Sign RequestFrequently Asked Questions
Are e-signatures obtained through this tool legally binding?
Yes. E-signatures collected through our tool are legally valid under the US ESIGN Act and EU eIDAS regulation. The signed document includes signature metadata and a timestamp. For most business contracts, NDAs, and agreements, this is sufficient.
Does the recipient need to create an account to sign?
No. Recipients sign directly in their browser from the link in the email. No account, no software installation, no login. They just review and sign.
How do I know when someone has signed?
The tool tracks signing status. The dashboard updates as signatures are completed. An email notification is sent to you when all parties have signed the document.
Can I set the signing order for multiple recipients?
Yes. You can choose sequential signing (Person A signs first, then it goes to Person B) or parallel signing (everyone can sign at the same time). Sequential is common for contracts where one party countersigns after the other.
What happens to the document after all signatures are collected?
The completed, signed document is available for download. All signatures are embedded directly in the PDF. The document is processed locally and the final signed PDF is delivered to all parties.
Your documents stay private
Documents are processed locally before sending. Signing links and recipient emails are managed through the tool. The document content is only shared with the recipients you specify.
